Oversee all aspects of knowledge management in customer area:
- compile, maintain and proofread technical documentation & user manuals
- provide installation documentation for updates and patches
- ensure appropriate communication and prepare training material
- Develop, maintain and promote a documentation strategy to help your peers identify the best way to spread information (e.g. when to use Word, Wiki or SharePoint)
- communication, coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and peers worldwide
- fill an active role in a global team
Essential:
- Track record of experienced knowledge of technical writing in an enterprise environment
- Excellent command in written and spoken English, knowledge of German is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and a highly client oriented attitude
- Ability to analyse and understand complex systems and their dependencies
- Ability to act as a team player and work independently in a global enterprise
- Experience working in an international and highly complex environment with a high level of cultural awareness
Desirable:
- Higher degree in information technology or the relevant working experience
- Background in information security technologies and principles (e.g. PKI, DLP, IRM, IAM, Compliance Monitoring, Log Management) will be considered as a plus
- Knowledge of ITIL service management is a plus
As a Technical Writer in the area of Data Security engineering candidate will work closely together with engineers, operators and end-users as well as various other stakeholders across IT. His main job is to review product-, process- and support-documentation for clarity and completeness and to keep it up-to-date. He will oversee all documentation produced in our area and act as a quality gate to produce great documentation. Further, candidate will ensure that customer IT organization is able to gather, analyze, store and share knowledge and information.
