C++ Developer (Mac OS X)

Responsibilites
Existing application is written in C++ for Windows platform and uses. Agent communicates with server using SOAP and XMPP protocols with defined API that has to be reused. You will work on port of this agent to MAC OS X platform throughout full release life cycle.
- Agile release and sprint planning
- Understanding requirement and decompose it to the task level
- Estimate and implement Stories
- Collaborate with testing, documentation and product management
- Support (L3) product during Beta releases and customer acceptance
Requirements
Successful candidate is someone who:
- has strong C++ development experience
- is proficient in developing native Mac OS X applications
- has excellent communication skills and is comfortable in using English as working language
- possess working knowledge of web services (SOAP, WSDL, XML, HTTP)
- has networking protocol understanding and knowledge (SSH, XMPP, TCP, UDP)
- is able to quickly learn new skills and tools
- knows how to dig out required information
- is proactive and drives tasks to completion
- accepts flexibility of working hours as coverage with EDT time zone is required (Product Owner, Windows Dev Team and QA in Canada)
- experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell) is advantage over other candidates

In May flagship Remote Monitoring and Management system will be extended with new module on Windows platform. New Agile project team will have a goal to take this C/C++ application and port it on MAC OS X platform.
