For our client, a Swedish investor in renewable energy production, we are currently looking for candidates for a position of Financial Controller
Client profile: Vireo Energy an investor in renewable energy production, primarily within the bioenergy area in Eastern Europe. Vireo Energy is part of the Kinnevik Group, a major Swedish investment company with a 75 year history of building successful new businesses.
Scope of duties: The financial controller is responsible for the execution of all monthly management reporting and analysis, group consolidation and statutory requirements for the Vireo Group by working closely with the outsourced accounting functions as well as group finance. It also entails as needed analyses on operating costs and CAPEX spend and special finance projects for the Group.
The role is responsible for preparing and managing budgets and cash forecasts for all operating units and implementing and following up on the management control framework. The role also includes managing financial transactions for the Polish business.The position reports to the Group CFO
Requirements: University degree in finance, accounting or business administration, and preferably a qualified or part qualified accountant.2-4 years’ experience in a finance function or audit. Strong accounting knowledge of both Polish and International accounting standards as well as a good understanding of control methodology is required. Excellent excel knowledge and fluency in written and spoken Polish and English will be assumed, Russian is a clear benefit. Experience from the energy business or other capital intensive businesses is looked upon as a merit. Ability to travel up to 10% is also a requirement.
Personal profile: You are a self-starter and a “doer” that is able to work independently and can cope with both complex financial matters and miscellaneous administration tasks in a business with aggressive growth targets across its target region. You are an analytical, self-motivated person that possesses a high level of communication skills and you pride yourself on the accuracy and quality of your work.
