- Testing of Murex using ONYX tool by carrying out the following installation, configuration and support activities:
- maintaining and creating test packages
- being familiar with most Test Library items
- maintaining Excel test configuration templates
- creating and maintaining file and table comparators
- running test Packages and reporting and analyzing results
- maintaining Impact Management reconciliation explanations
- creating environment pointers
- being aware of Trading Day Simulation (TDS)
upgrading ONYX Test Packages to new binary MTL (Murex Testing Library)
Testing of Murex integration with other systems (non-Onyx)
- Managing and coordinating the gathering and reporting of test results and provision of progress and issues to steering group members, test manager and Murex
- Working with the clients located in the UK, Germany, South Africa, Australia, USA, Canada and others
- Genuine interest in automated testing
- Appreciation of test management
- Good all-round experience preferably with Murex (exposure to Trade Query, e-TradePad, Simulation Views, OSP, processing scripts, services and environment management) or with other trading / risk management software platforms - Calypso, OpenLink, Global One, Brady, TriplePoint, etc
- Good technical skills, namely:
- Scripting - being able to run and maintain either Perl/Python/VBS and DOS/UNIX scripts
- SQL - a good understanding of SQL and Stored Procedures
- XML / XSLT - understanding of XML and XSLT
- Environments - ability to define environment specs and work with IT Ops team to build and support
- DBA - appreciation of DB backup and restore, understanding capacity constraints *Tools - exposure to HP QC, Jira, Selenium / Hudson (Jenkins), Putty, FTP, BeyondCompare, XMLSpy, code editors
- Excel - manipulating various and complicated test data results and publishing (Pivots, some VBA)
- Word - produce professional documents to senior level audience
- Fluent written and oral English
Murex Consultant in our new Global Delivery Center in Wroclaw. Area of specialization - Murex Testing with the focus on the ONYX tool (but not limited to it).
ONYX MxTest is the automated testing tool developed by Murex. It can be used to test a comprehensive selection of Murex functions, including interacting with the UI and running simultaneous Mx sessions in parallel. New releases of Murex come with a tailored ONYX Murex Test Suite of libraries.
This role covers the day-to-day support and maintenance of ONYX MxTest, with the possible development of test packages and ongoing alignment to client test strategies.
