You will provide support and maintenance International Paper’s Data Networks, Firewalls and Remote Access System, which are used by all employees across all businesses (and various customers/partners), worldwide. Under direct supervision, you will proactively monitor networks to provide stable, dependable network services. You will assist in configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure. You will maintain LAN/WAN. You will order, install and maintain technologies and systems that support enterprise network communications.

- Maintain and support of all Data Network, Firewall and Remote Access System technologies and services (end-to-end).
- Manage Order lifecycle for data circuits worldwide with multiple carriers.
- Execute of applicable Enterprise Data Network standards and support processes.
- Participate with all staff, facility management and vendor related activities regarding all service activities.
- Monitor and maintain applicable facility, campus and/or Enterprise Service Levels (SLAs) (aligned with vendor SLAs).
- Lead Strategy and Innovation
- Enforce documented and agreed-upon Strategic direction relative to the implementation/use of data networking technologies and solutions at IP.
- Contribute to Enterprise-Level Data Network strategies and objectives that align/enable/support IP Business.
- Understand the implications of Data Network technology enablement across geographic and language boundaries.
- Identify and leverage integration opportunities of Data Network technologies into enterprise systems/applications.
- Major/Primary Activities: Support (RFS & Break/Fix); Configuration and monitoring; Reporting; Availability Monitoring; Metrics; Vendor Management; Maintenance; Engineering; QoS Management, Performance Monitoring, Security.
Services: Wide Area Networking, Quality of Service (QoS), TCP/IP Addressing (DHCP), Virtual LANs, Router Management, Wireless Backup (3G/4G), Firewall technologies (including Cisco ASA); Remote Access System (also including Cisco ASA appliances), Remote Access / Virtual Private Networking (VPN).
- Data Network services are provided to all business worldwide where IP has operations (+685 facilities).
- Firewall services support International Paper’s 50+ external websites and +200 remote firewalls.
- Service Management and consultation provided as needed for all Geographic regions where IP has a presence.
- 24x7x365 availability inclusive of on call duties as assigned.
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of direct Data Network, Firewall and Remote Access System technologies, services and operational experience.
- Cisco CCENT certification or equivalent experience - required.
- Demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication skills at Technical levels.
- An understanding and practical application experience of the following technologies, services, vendors: Wide Area Network (WAN) and Level-3 Local Area Network (LAN) Data Network Technologies and Hardware, Ethernet, ATM, TCP/IP, DHCP/QIP, Virtual LANs (VLAN), IPT Integration, Routers, QoS, 3G/4G, Cisco ASA appliances, Firewall rule development and troubleshooting, Performance Monitoring and Tuning, Cisco, AT&T, Orange Business Services, TaTa, Telefonica, Riverbed.
- Fluency in English - a must. Knowledge of additional language would be an asset.
- Ability to support systems 7x24 including after-hours response and on-call.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours required.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg.
