Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Wroclaw
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Company’s Data Network, Network Security and Telephony environment
Directs and supervises the implementation, delivery, and support of company-wide Telecommunications, Data Network and Network Security.
Facilitates the design and architecture of company-wide Telecommunications, Data Network and Network Security and will communicate and synchronize with other areas like Application, Cloud, Server and Data Center areas.
Provides operational leadership and project management oversight for personnel, work, and projects that fall within the Telecommunications, Network and Network Security area and will communicate and synchronize those with other areas like Application, Cloud, Server and Data Center areas;
Ensuring that these areas are managed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
providing reporting, metrics and general Management information.
Maintains vendor contacts for various communication services, and insures the overall Company employee satisfaction to the highest possible extent with regards to those services.
Acts as the first point of contact within Acquisition projects for Data Network and Telecommunication services.
Provides recommendations for planning and expansion.
Develops and maintains operation documents with respect to performance, procedures, guidelines, schedules, traffic data, billing, and budget.
Responsible for operational costs including invoice reviews, billing issue resolution and tracking.
Help planning the stages of the project together with a Project Manager and how each affects various areas of the business.
Agreeing costs, timescales and standards to be met and monitoring these and adjusting the plans where needed.
Keeping management and clients updated on progress of tasks, incidents and escalations, projects and architectural process.
Review incident reports, detect trends and follow-up on those by coordinating improvements plans.
Provide input on budgets, Cost-savings options or other Cost improvements plans
Develops or provides information to Strategy plans.
Work closely with the Company CISO or Information Technology Security team on security related tasks, Audits and Projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology or a related field and nine (9) years of progressive experience as a Manager supervising internal departments in one of the following IT areas: Networking, Telecommunication, Security or Data Center.
Must possess an understanding of current techniques and hardware capabilities of a large network environment preferably in an Enterprise.
Must have functional knowledge of Computer operations, Security, Telecommunications and preferred knowledge of Server support, Quality-, Problem- and Change Management.
Must also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Certyficates in CCNA or CCDA
Certyficates in CCNP or CCDP (or acceptable equivalent).
Broad experience with Cisco hardware and Network and Telecommunication technologies
Knowledge and understanding of organization, goals and objectives, policies and procedures.
In-depth technical knowledge of Collaboration tools, Telephony, Network Management, Network Security, Monitoring and general Telecom Services.
Architecture skills in various IT areas, but minimal in Data Networking, Telecommunication and Security.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of Global individuals and groups.
Strong project management skills with the ability to ensure completion of department initiatives and recommendations.
Good English verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to understand and clearly relate to other members of the organization, technical manuals, software specifications and general methods of Network Operations, Telecommunication and Security.
Ability to apply effective leadership skill to direct staff.
Routine contact is required with (IT) Managers, subject matter experts and contact is required with Internal and in some cases External clients.
Ability to define problems, escalations, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present technical information and respond to questions from groups of Executives, Managers, Internal and External clients.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment.
Preferred:
- Cisco certified (CCIE or acceptable equivalent)
- Previous “technology vision” roles.
