French Translator & Content Editor

Requirements:
- Educated to degree level, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in translation or content editing
- An excellent knowledge of written and spoken French. Native speaker or proficiency level C1/C2 required. Perfect command of spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional languages are beneficial.
- Experience working with translation tools, especially Trados Studio and MultiTerm, is beneficial
- Top-quality translation and editorial skills, with an eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Interest in financial online trading
- Experience of working on financial and marketing content is advantageous
- Experience working with Content Management Systems, such as AEM, Salesforce and ExactTarget, is advantageous
- Knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver is beneficial
- An eagerness to learn new tools and content systems, and input into process and system improvements
- Experience of copywriting, proofreading or additional localisation skills would be beneficial for the role
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for transcribing and translating marketing, IT and other content from English into French
- Use translation tools to ensure consistency of translation within documents
- Ensure target language assets are appropriate for the correct cultural context and adapted for regional variations where necessary
- Ensure all content upholds IG’s branding and style guidelines
- Retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation, including finance, marketing and technical documentation
- Maintain excellent attention to detail when entering content onto email, website and IT Content Management Systems
- Prioritise work to meet deadlines and priorities agreed with Project Manager, Local Marketing and Localisation Ops Manager to ensure timely delivery and internal rollout of projects, new products and marketing campaigns
- Proactively communicate with colleagues across the business to facilitate problem solving
- Carry out feedback implementation, linguistic bug fixing and the revision of the content
- Maintain and optimise website, email, social media, video, mobile app and platform content, according to the content strategy agreed with UK and Regional Marketing teams
- Input into the generation of global and local marketing campaigns, in co-ordination with marketing teams across IG’s EMEA offices
