Under general direction, as the Global Software Delivery Specialist you will be responsible for administering managed devices within North America to support GSD objectives. You will maintain, operate and support Configuration Manager tools for IP facilities throughout North America to enable and deliver software and hardware inventory, software installation, software updates, software removal, and software / hardware reporting for supported devices.
You will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment with a variety of global range IT teams.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting and solving problems related to SCCM software delivery.
On this position you will be a member of a team responsible for global software deployments.
The GSD department values and focuses on developing project and change management skills as well as building IT strengths.
- Perform Configuration Manager services to include software installation, software updates, software removal, client inventories and software/hardware reporting for assigned facilities.
- Deliver day-to-day break/fix work of managed clients and servers for all assigned facilities. You must be capable of prioritizing critical tasks, resolving conflict and resolving complex problems within the Configuration Manager infrastructure.
- Adhere to documentation for Configuration Manager tools, including standard operating procedures, best practices, time tracking and assigned project work.
- Provide support to first and second level IT support groups for GSD processes.
- Deliver some supervision and capable of handling moderately complex assignments and any technical project from general directions.
- Handle single or multiple projects on a site and/or business level. You should demonstrate good communication skills, accuracy, dependability, timeliness and completeness of assigned work. Also, demonstrate maturity in problem solving and independent problem solving skills.
- Associates Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
- 1 year experience using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or related systems management tools
- Experience with SQL, MS Platform scripting such as VB script or Jscript, SCCM Installer and the Windows Installer Service
- MCP certification - preferred
