The Project Management (PM) function/role will be responsible for the delivery of Project Management (according to company policies and standards).
High level this means:
- Responsibility to plan and manage budget, resources and milestones
- Responsibility to create detailed business cases, cost plans and RAID logs
- Responsible for the successful and timely implementation of all IT relevant tasks associated with this project
- Ability to work within an international team and provide clear leadership and direction to its members, including integrating with and providing oversight of development deliverables owned by 3rd party resources
- Manage projects to deliver against agreed scope, on time and within budget
- Contribute to department wide objectives
- Working according to the internal project methodology
- Project status reports will need to be maintained and communicated, suitable for consumption at Steering Committee and Director level. Project risks and issues log will need to be maintained and communicated, with appropriate escalation as required
- Degree or higher education in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years’ experience as an IT-Project Manager large and complex projects, preferably in the banking/finance industry
- Practical experience with PMP or Prince2
- Familiar with Financial Institutions
- Solid understanding of project management processes
- Strong MS Office skills
- Fluent written and spoken in English
- Excellent communication/presentation (oral and written) and report writing skills
- Experience leading technical teams & achieving results in a project context using resources that do not report directly (e.g. from other departments, external suppliers etc.)
- High degree of flexibility with a “can do” attitude, able to work effectively with limited level of instruction and supervision
- Strong problem solving skills

- Good interpersonal and influencing skills
