Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of features for SDE API
- Close cooperation with business analysts, project managers, other developers and testers
- Writing automated tests and deployment scripts
- Performance tuning and optimization of the queries and application itself
- Providing developer support through application lifecycle and across environments
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- In-depth Java 8 knowledge
- Fluency in Spring framework (web, database, caching, security)
- Experience in designing, documenting and building REST APIs
- Experience in working with JMS
- Through understanding of essential multithreading programming techniques
- Fluency in working with SQL
- Familiarity with coding best practices and techniques (SOLID, design patterns)
- Experience in test automation(unit, integration)
- Continuous Integration/Deployment – oriented
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microservice oriented architecture
- Familiarity with concepts of Domain-Driven Design
- Experience with service discovery and configuration management (Consul, Spring Cloud)
- Experience with performance testing and monitoring
The department is responsible for development and support of front office technology for the global foreign exchange desk. The group develops options trading and risk management systems, e-commerce dealing systems, and a full range of feeds that connect front and back office systems. The group also supports vendor applications for cash trading and order management.
The department is currently engaged in multi-year initiative of decommissioning one of the vendor platforms and bringing its functionalities into Credit Suisse trading ecosystem - Tarsan. The project is called SDE (Sales Deals Entry) and on the back end side it exposes REST API that enable trade booking and provides endpoints for any trade query/booking related data. We are looking for a senior Java professional who could contribute to the development of this back end.
