To be successful in this role you are a confident communicator and leader who can delegate responsibility. You have the ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and give open and honest feedback. We see that you also possess the following features:

• experience of managing/leading and developing a team, preferably gained in a retail or supply environment or sales area,
• experience of setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets and following up goals,
• ability of adapting to different styles of working to get the best out of all the team (situational leadership),
• can think out of the box and you are not afraid of learning from your mistakes,
• ability to work on a tactical and an operational level,
• excellence in prioritising and organising your work and the work of others to make the most efficient use of time available,
• education in logistics or other management and business related field,
• ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.

About the job

Logistic Manager is responsible for ensuring a consistently high and stable availability, in the IKEA product range, for our customers at the lowest possible cost.
 
About the assignment

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• contributing to maintaining and developing cooperation within the store management team with the overall aim of inspiring and satisfying customers by securing the IKEA low price image,
• actively participating in creating the business plan in the store,
• leading logistic team contributes to maximising sales by using available data to ensure the highest possible product availability,
• focusing on maximising stock availability for our customers who require a cash & carry service and/or both local and central, pre-arranged delivery services in store,
• working with the capacity and flow planning specialist to agree the short and long term store logistics capacity plans and secure the implementation of these in store,
• ensuring the logistic action plan supports the achievement of the agreed goals.
