Open Source Web Developer

Main responsibilities:

• Participating as a member of development team or teams, may lead development teams.
• Performing analysis of functional and business requirements.
• Coding independently; participating in code reviews and leading code reviews. Preparing code stubs for others, completing code to implement solutions.
• Contributing to design activities; may design solutions.
• Designing, preparing and executing Unit tests.
• Applying in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Node.JS, RubyonRails, Python).
• UI or Backend development. 

We require:

• Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering or Related Field.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5.
• Solid Experience in Node.JS and /or Angular.JS Frameworks, API development and Web development Languages (ie. Python / RubyOnRails).
• Knowledge or Experience of backbone.js, jquery or React would be a plus.
• Knowledge of JSON Parsing.
• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
• Knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects.
• Knowledge of MongoDB or other noSQL DB"s would be an advantage.
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

Exposure to:

• Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Software Development tool experience - Eclipse, Sonar, Maven, GitHub.
• Windows Server OS &/or Linux Development Environment.
• Native Cloud would be an advantage.
