Job Purpose:
Supporting the legal team across Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, developing & implementing new effective procedures, processing documentation with departmental standards and managing the flow of information between FedEx Companies, Internal Departments and customers.
Key Accountabilities:
As a paralegal, you will be a member of Legal team, which includes around 30 Lawyers and Legal Advisors across the region.
The largest part of this role will be related to Sales Support: Reviewing contracts, ensuring their compliance with corporate policies and communicated guidelines; updating agreements and managing documents & on-line databases; liaising with in-house counsel on Sales contracts and routing contracts appropriately. . In this role you will also assist in preparing, filing and organizing legal documents and agreements and performing a variety of law-related tasks.
The Paralegal role at FedEx also involves maintenance & updating of corporate records, assembly of required supporting documentation, obtaining clarification from external counsel when needed and obtaining necessary signatures from executive management.
Requirements:
Successful Candidate should hold a Degree in Law and speak excellent English. Hired person will be responsible for handling legal documents and contracts for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa, therefore very good Legal French or German are also a must. We are looking for Law graduates with about 1 – 3 years of experience on similar position. Knowledge of international legal systems and regulations is a big advantage. Experience in handling corporate contracts is required.
Due to the nature of the work, attention to detail, analytical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision in a proficient manner are essential. Highly developed interpersonal skills, good problem solving, professionalism and excellent communication are also a key. Very good knowledge in MS Office is also required.
