Our client is one of the world’s largest automotive company.Currently we are looking for an experienced and talented person for Plant Manager (board member) position.
Plant manager will be responsible for achieving the companies production, profitability and safety goals, and cost reduction programs, while exceeding customer expectations at the site. Moreover Plant Manager should ensure the company remains a leader in the industry in terms of having technologically advanced products and providing excellent quality products and customer service by working closely with Global Technical Team (R&D).
Plant Manager will be responsible also for all aspects of planning, organizing and directing of all operational activities of the site including safety (supervising the safety issues in the company, daily shop floor safety inspections, preventing workplace injuries and investigations, weekly and monthly reporting, cooperating with the coordinator and the teams), quality (supervising the quality issues, costs reduction, cooperating with the management), maintenance (providing leadership to the Site Maintenance Leaders to ensure MRO administration is audited and up to date), equipment engineering (working with the Site Engineering Teams to ensuring monthly review of all manufacturing and facility equipment), purchasing (providing leadership to the Site Purchasing Team) customer service (ensuring a data collection system is in place for external customer issues). Moreover Plant Manager will be responsible for distribution (ensuring all daily shipments are managed effectively and any shortfalls are resolved as quickly as possible), leadership (effectively manages all site and front line managers to ensuring proper staffing levels), information systems (understanding and supporting IT roles and responsibilities within the site that support all manufacturing needs, finance (fully accountable for the finances of the site including management of expense and capital budgets) and human resources.
The ideal candidate should have higher education (Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering, Master’s Degree or MBA desired), few years experience on similar role in automotive industry and also fluent English. Proper candidate must be an excellent proven leader, analytical skills and good problem solver under high pressure situations. He should also easily adapt to changing business needs, apply all tools, principles and processes of Lean management, demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills and organizational abilities. Moreover the candidate should have ability to travel regularly to attend management meetings within the Division or Region. Must maintain a flexible work schedule to manage the demands of a manufacturing facility and unexpected customer or production needs and supports other global facilities as business needs dictate.
