Position purpose
To act as a member of the Procurement Team and to ensure the team achieves its operational objectives and delivers high quality and cost effective service.Â
Buyer participates in meeting critical service levels and KPI targets of the Procurement team and in particular is responsible for processing routine free-text requisitions, management of the spot buy service, order/receipt/invoice mismatch management and for resolving queries escalated by 1st line helpdesk support.
Main accountabilities
Â
Service Delivery:Â
- Ensures that the daily activities within his/her responsibilities are fulfilled properly and timely in accordance with Desktop Procedures and SLA targetsÂ
- Demonstrates knowledge of processes and procedures relevant to the function and proactively identifies improvement opportunitiesÂ
- Is responsible for a customer focused service towards the clientÂ
- May support Junior Buyers in process related areas, as outlined by the Team LeaderÂ
Within Procurement Team:Â
- Receives and reviews Purchase Requisitions for compliance with existing catalogsÂ
- Releases completed Requisitions for approvalÂ
- Manages free-text requisitions and conducts competitive bidding using e-procurement toolsÂ
- Manages goods/services claimsÂ
- Amends or closes Purchase OrdersÂ
- Files documents according to procedures for audit purposesÂ
- Handles queries escalated by 1st line helpdesk supportÂ

Requirements
- Good knowledge of German language (B2 level)Â
- Good English skillsÂ
- Working knowledge of Excel would be an assetÂ
- Good analytical skillsÂ
- Excellent Customer Service skills and client-focus attitudeÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills and proactive & teamwork approachÂ
- Ability to work under pressureÂ
