Project Manager

Responsibilites
- Work closely with business and IT management and teams to plan, manage and delivery all phases of work through the project lifecycle
- Ensure project plans, forecasts, status, and all other project documentation is up to date and managed appropriately under the Global Solutions Delivery Policy.
- Set-up project structure and organization in line with Project Management best practice
- Develop required planning and controlling mechanisms, ensure timely delivery of individual phases within budget
- Manage interface with business clients, stakeholders and other involved parties
- Manage project communications, including preparation of presentations and representation of the project at steering meetings and working groups with IT and the business.
- Track, manage and report project financials
- Install and maintain project management best practices like progress tracking, change & scope management, risk & issue management, resource management, financial controls etc
- Support client’s internal initiatives to improve project management methods and procedures
Requirements
- Experience of managing end to end projects (budget 3M USD+)
- Experience of the Investment Banking or Private Banking financial sector
- Excellent communication skills and experience of communicating directly with and influencing senior stakeholders
- Detailed understanding of project lifecycles in complex technical environments
- University degree education ideally with focus on Technology, Finance and/or Business Administration focus
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Excellent MS Offices skills a must
- Teamwork & leadership skills
- High degree of flexibility and "can do" attitude. Ability to work with very limited level of instruction and supervision
- Project management certification (PRINCE II, PMI etc.)
- Ideally understanding of Risk (especially Credit and Market Risk) practices and processes
- Ideally experience of responsibility for both IT and business aspects of project management

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving and delivering IT solutions within the department.
- The Project Manager should have experience of delivering Regulatory driven initiatives, ensuring that required changes are delivered to externally driven timelines mandated by the regulator(s)
- The Project Manager should have experience with trading and risk data management, aggregation, analysis and reporting orientated solutions
- The applications to be managed are categorized as mission critical, with specific low latency performance parameters. The Project Manager will ensure that all change is delivered in adherence to current performance SLAs in addition to the core requirements.
- The Project Manager should be comfortable in dealing with demanding business clients, and must be able to balance the needs of the business with IT's capacity for delivery
- To enable delivery, the Project Manager will need to engage with the Front Office and other dependent stakeholders to secure commitment to deliver within their respective books of work.
- The Project Manager must be comfortable in managing team sizes that are geographically disperse.
- The Project Manager must plan and manage application releases in conjunction with the many other systems - this requires a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and relation to technical solutions
- Project Manager should be experienced in traditional Waterfall as well as Agile development methodologies
