Purpose of the role:
Own all regional finance processes within area of responsibility and geographical scope.
Manage team of Regional Finance Process Analysts. Propose and manage projects to streamline and improve overall efficiency.
Manage financial & process risk and adhere to internal and external compliance obligations for the processes in scope.
Scope of the Role:
- Manage day to day operation of the Regional Finance Processes in scope ensuring service delivery in line with agreed standard.
- Ensure business resilience plans are up to date and communicated
- Resolve BAU operational issues ensuring required information / input is provided. Monitoring and improving delivery performance.
- Team management within allocated regional scope including resourcing and performance/development management.
- Undertake user training for processes and systems as required.
- Ensure adequate controls and compliance measures over processes in scope. Support audit activities including post-audit actions closure.
- Support further alignment of the Regional Finance Processes with GBS Global process model through process centralization, harmonization and re-design.
- Some international travel may be required.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Finance and Accounting or related field and/or the ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of working in a Finance and Accounting environment.
- Good understanding of standard accounting processes (including internal control, indirect tax compliance, reporting, payroll, balance sheet control, accounts receivable and accounts payable).
- Ability to operate effectively in an fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines and finite resources.
- A strong customer focus, committed to exceeding customer expectations and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of global business compliance and regulatory context.
- Stakeholder management skills across a diverse geographic region and at multiple levels, with the gravitas to engage with and influence stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved.
- Exceptional problem solving and issue resolution skills.
- People management skills with ability to build and lead high performance teams.
- Working knowledge of the languages of the countries supported within agreed geographical scope.
- Proven track record for implementation of financial process transition and transformation programmes.
- Experience as a corporate shared services process leader, or as a process leader in a business.
- Fluent in English. Working knowledge of the languages of the countries supported within agreed geographical scope would be an asset.
