As an Oracle designer / developer you are responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, test and 3rd level support of applications on the project. You will work in a dynamic team that is based in Wroclaw.
Successful candidates will have:
- Ability to design, build and maintain applications in an Agile environment.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills:
- Able to understand customer requirements and quickly resolve any potential issues either in the project or in the production environment.
- Analytical thinking skills and problem solving mindset
- Good communication in English, German is a plus
- A proven track record in a similar environment:
- Delivering software solutions to demanding product owners, being part of a large and (possibly) distributed team.
- Modern test driven development techniques
- Incident management and problem analysis in test and production systems.
- A track record of performance tuning Oracle databases
Core:
- Advanced level of English
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Oracle Developer
- SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
- Oracle installation and optimization
- Toad and Power Designer
- UNIX (Linux or Solaris)
- Formal Data modelling
- Good communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
Other Technologies:
- Job Control systems (JCS)
- Java (JEE or JSE)
- Understanding of Virtualization
- XML/XSL/XSD
- Liquibase or Flyway
The project is a global technology change and delivery organization comprising nearly 100 individuals located in Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Singapore. We provide archiving and retrieval solutions to all business divisions focusing on supporting Legal, Regulatory and Operational functions.
The current technology stack comprises IBM CMOD, OpenText, Oracle, SAMFS, DB2, TSM, NETAPPS SNAPLOCK and various in-house created technologies coupled with Java/JavaScript web front ends.
