- In the role you would be responsible for managing software release process with a lot of hands-on involvement. Your responsibilities would span across: IDEs, Source Control, Build, Test, QA, Release, and Production Support. You would be working together with development team through the entire life cycle and face external groups (PTG, QA) addressing the issues, providing guidance and support.
- On one hand you would be a part of global team working with LN and other peers, whereas on the other you would be focusing on local deliveries. Eventually you would be the one to put that final touch providing the checkout on a successful production release.
- On a daily basis you would face technical challenges that require you to understand development projects, infrastructure and their intricacies. Based on experience and good judgment prompt decisions would need to be taken. With the experience and understanding of RMS development space you would be expected to continually refine and implement changes in both release and development processes.
To fit into position you need to have software engineering background and good understanding of software delivery lifecycle. It is very likely you are a developer but look for a change and want focus more on the bigger picture now.
In particular you need to:
- have software development experience preferably in .NET or other similar language like Java,
- have SVN or similar version control system knowledge and experience,
- understand the Continuous Integration concept and one of the following: TeamCity, Hudson, Jenkins,
- have experience implementing scripting / automation solutions on both the Linux and Windows platforms
- have knowledge and experience of build tools like MSBuild, NAnt, or Java Ant and Maven.
- be familiar with software testing and quality metrics,
- be strong and directed person to govern the rules,
- be a team player, embrace interaction with development and external groups to reach the goal,
- possess strong analytical and problem solving skills,
- possess very good communication skills with English at advanced level,
- be enthusiastic about software development and show proactive approach to seek for continual improvement.
Experience:
We expect the person to have at least 2-3 years of experience in the field or on a similar position.

Given the environment complexity and internal user base we are ramping a new team, aligned with local business users and part of Macro Risk department in Wroclaw CoE.
The successful candidate will work to support Business As Usual operation bridging the gap between first line and development team. Interfacing with Product Control and Quant Strats departments the support will cover two strategic risk management systems - Primo and GFX Jane.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with the front office and quant analyst in areas at the forefront of regulatory change and development in investment banking.
