Key Responsibilities:
This role comprises of C# development within STS Risk of key stakeholder requirements, 3rd Line Support of existing platform and liaising with various teams to deliver risk.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintenance and feature enhancements of current application / platform
- 3rd level support, investigation of production issues and bug fixing
- Occasional on call rota support to ensure business continuity
- Requires working effectively with a global team as well as relevant stakeholders
- Ability to take ownership of issues right through to resolution
BSc / MSc (Computer, Math or Finance disciplines preferred)
Good knowledge of:
- .NET C# Development experience and ability to debug code
- Good development practices (automated testing, design patterns, N-tier architecture)
- Source code control
- XML and relevant tools
- Database development and maintenance experience (MS SQL and Oracle)
- WPF experience
- Web services
- Diligent test capabilities
- Deployment of changes into UAT and Production environments (code and config changes)
- Strong ability to analyse data using tools such as Excel and Beyond Compare
- Trouble shooting and problem solving expertise – good investigation skills, knowledge of logging frameworks and ability to debug and decompile code
- Be able to interact with different stakeholders ranging from the Front Office Business through to downstream teams
- Liaise with a global team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to prioritise work independently with minimal supervision
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Agile development methodology experience
- Interest in financial markets and FX & EM Risk coupled with the ability to learn business area quickly
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Good collaboration and communication (interacting with members of the 1st & 2nd Line Support teams, QA team, business stakeholders such as Trading and Product Control and working in a global team with members in Singapore, Zurich, Poland, London and NY)
- Ability to write detailed test documentation
- Articulating IT issues to non-technical individuals
New deployment. The position is in Risk Technology IT, part of Trading and Lending IT. The department is responsible for all sales and trading activities of organization across all geographic locations globally.
We are creating a new team based in Wroclaw that will join experienced global team and will work with team members from London, New York and Singapore.
Team of 5 people across London and Poland, managed out of London. Until most recently, the team comprised of only 3 people in London but is now branching out and growing due to recent merge of two Risk Platforms.
