We're growing rapidly and need a Senior Oracle Developer to join us.
Position Senior Oracle Developer
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Developer with database, PL/SQL and Apex skills to develop our RevStream finance application product and support performance tuning activities where necessary.
You will be involved in the full application development lifecycle working as part of globally distributed team
- Design, develop, implement and maintain SQL and PL/SQL stored program units/packages
- Write and perform unit tests for the PL/SQL stored program units/packages
- Design and develop Oracle Application Express (APEX) forms
- Develop business logic and complex calculation rules in PL/SQL
- Conduct performance analysis and tuning of the processes and database
- Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to define functional and technical design
- Lead and/or participate in development activities, working as part of a multi discipline global team
- Participate and present at formal and informal design reviews, playbacks, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Testers to develop comprehensive and appropriate test strategies for each release.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes & experience:
- Experience in application development and design
- High proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience developing applications in Oracle Apex
- Good knowledge of both database and program code performance tuning, understanding execution plans, use of statistics, etc.
- Track record of adapting to frequently changing requirements and priorities
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Motivated, adaptable, results-focused, and accountable for delivering accurate and timely results
- Can work independently and as part of a wider cross functional team, and capable of prioritising own workload
- Comfortable working with disparate team across different time zones
- Educated to degree level or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics
- Excellent spoken and written English, ideally to C1 level
Advantageous Skills
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS
- Experience of developing products within a SaaS model
- Working knowledge of Jira
- Experience of designing Financial Systems / General Ledger
- Knowledge of accounting and regulatory compliance
