Senior Software Engineer

Job description
As the technical leader of the software developers, you are responsible for analysing the customer requirements, setting up the required software architecture and technical design, as well as the implementation of the software solution, and integration. You coordinate the change management and determine the impact on required effort, resources and release plan. You generate and execute the Module Test Plans and Test cases, and execute bench level testing for both black and white box testing, and create the software quality release checklist and test quality release checklist. Before the software development starts you assure the Systems Functional Specifications are reviewed and released. Likewise, the Test Specifications are to be reviewed and released before the test phase is started. You will perform detailed error analysis, if required at the customer site. During the entire development life-cycle do you prepare and present technical status reports and SPICE process reports. With your knowledge and experience you coach and mentor less experienced team members. At all times do you assure the software and systems development process is followed by the entire team.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering, automotive engineering, software engineering or an equivalent qualification
- At least 5 years of work experience in automotive or embedded industry environment
- Experience in embedded SW development
- Good knowledge of C or C++ in multi-threaded and/or multi-processing real-time operating systems (e.g. OSEK, QNX, etc.)
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, CMMI-DEV and AUTOSAR is considered as an advantage
- Affinity with communication buses and/or protocols like CAN, LIN, MOST, UART and related development tools is a plus
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
