INTERIM CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (m/w)

For our client, the world's leading company from the FMCG sector, currently we are looking for a motivated person to cover the position of Accounting Team Manager for a period of approximately 9 months, who will manage a small team of people.
- Preparation of statutory tax declarations (VAT, CIT, withholding tax, PCC), proper and timely tax recognition and documentation of transactions
- Update of transfer pricing documentation
- Optimisation of tax position of the company
- Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements according to Polish GAAP as well as remaining statutory reporting
- Preparation of reporting package for group year end closing purposes
- Supervision of monthly closing process
- Regular reconciliation of subledgers and general ledger accounts
- Ensuring adherence to internal as well as group procedures and guidelines
- Preparing and updating accounting and internal control policies and procedures
- Performing ad hoc analysis and maintaining relationship with auditors, tax authorities and the rest of the company,
- Very good understanding of Polish VAT, CIT, withholding tax pronouncements as well as Polish GAAP and IFRS.
- Ability to communicate in English on daily basis (verbal and written)
- Experience in multinational working environment preferably in FMCG sector
- Experience in preparing financial statements and managing external audit assignments
- Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage.
