CHIEF ACCOUNTANT / GłÓWNA KSIĘGOWA (m/w)

Our Client, one of the most significant multinationals successfully operating and growing in Poland is seeking to recruit a highly professional Chief Accountant to be located in Warsaw to run an accounting department and support company development.

- Preparation of statutory tax declarations VAT, CIT, proper and timely tax recognition and documentation of transactions, reporting to national statistics bureau
- Perform annual accounts in compliance with Polish standards and US GAAP
- Manage the accounting team
- Responsibility for the month end closing of the Company's operations in Poland
- Ensuring financial control
- Preparing financial statements and also month/annual reporting
- Maintain relationship with auditors and tax authorities
- Ensuring compliance of accounting system with the Polish Accounting Act and solving potential problems

- University degree in Finance / Accounting
- More than 5 years of experience in accounting
- Very good command of English
- Knowledge of Polish tax environemnt, especially VAT and CIT regulations
- Ministry of Finance license to provide bookkeeping services
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Oracle
- Very good Excel knowledge
- Team management experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Taking responsibility for the tasks and solving problems
- Knowledge of US GAAP would be an advantage
- Experience with merges of the companies would be an asset
