On behalf of our Client, Shared Services Centre of an international company located in Tricity, we are looking for a GERMAN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK who will contribute to achievement of Accounts Payable performance and quality standards.

German AP Accountant
Poland/Gdynia

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Review of travel authorization requests inline with policy and entitlement bracket
• Handle initial travel request through to the processing of invoices for travel completed
• Review T&E claims for adherence to policy on a sample audit basis
• Perform periodic audit of T&E claims
• Manage the invoice administration and processing (check validity and completeness of invoices / credit notes; set-up and maintenance of master vendor data records)
• Manage the vendor documents, including archiving of scanned invoice requests and emergency payment approvals as well as creditor reports
• Prepare payment proposals
• Prepare electronic payments and checks
• Process manual payments
• Follow-up and resolve payment issues/ queries, stopping payments where appropriate
• Liaise with AR / Treasury
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all intercompany transactions
• Achieve performance objectives agreed with assigned Team Leader

Skills & Experience Required:
 

• 1 - 2 years experience of working within Accounts Payable process, or other core financial processes, in a complex, large volume, international environment
• SSC experience will be an advantage
• Appreciation of local GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory requirements (eg. VAT)
• Good working knowledge of SAP
• Excellent MS Excel skills
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to operate in an international environment

Language Skills:
 

• Fluent business German language skills (oral and written)
• Effectively communicate  in business English language (oral and written)
• Working knowledge of Polish (oral and written) highly desirable
• High wok standards
