On behalf of Sony Pictures Global Business Services in Gdynia, Poland, we are currently recruiting for the position of ROYALTIES ACCOUNTANT - FRENCH who will contribute to the achievement of quality and performance standards of Royalties, General Accounting and Control.

ROYALTIES ACCOUNTANT - FRENCH
GDYNIA, POLAND

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Calculate and generate Royalty accruals / postings
• Prepare Royalties statements
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow under the supervision of the Financial Controller / Finance Director
• Validate automatic General Ledger (GL) postings
• Prepare manual GL postings
• Prepare corrections and adjustments as appropriate
• Complete reconciliations of Balance Sheet items and interfaces as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
• Execute general accounting period-end routines
• Determine accruals and prepayments
• Prepare data and analysis as required for Monthly Finance Packs
• Prepare other management reports and analyses as required as well as draft statutory accounts in accordance with local GAAP (IFS) requirements

 
 


Skills & Experience Required:

• 2 years experience of working within Accounting function, including typically 12 months in Royalties  
• Good working knowledge of SAP Financials
• Experience of working in a shared services environment
• Appreciation of local regulatory requirements (GAAP and IFRS)
• Ability to effectively communicate and operate in an international environment
• Flexibility with duties and scope of work

Language Skills:

• Business English language skills (oral and written)
• Ability to fluently communicate in French
• Working knowledge of Polish is an advantage but is not necessary
