Supply Chain Manager
Miejsce pracy: śląskie/ Gliwice
Responsibilities:
- builds the supply chain capabilities (process, organization, tools, team)
- ensures excellent delivery service to manufacturing for raw materials and intermediates, and to customers of the plant for finished products
- minimizes inventory capital (raw materials, WIP & finished products) through optimized planning processes
- develops and implements an integrated planning strategy, covering finished products planning, intermediates planning and raw material planning. This should result in an effective order acceptation process, with reliable promised dates to plant customers
- helps in designing the processes to be implemented in the new ERP system
- closely collaborates with internal customers of the plant as to render internal demand transparent and smoothen variations
- closely collaborates with engineering department as to find he right trade-off between intermediates working capital and efficiency, to understand prototype products manufacturing needs, etc.)
- plays a pivotal role between sales/customers and manufacturing, taking into account manufacturing constraints when making customer promises and helping to remove manufacturing bottle-necks (such as headcount, outsourcing bottle-neck activity, etc)
- contributes to the development of effective manufacturing strategy with leveling and lean techniques
- ensures coaching, development and appraisal of his/her team, holding regular meetings with staff
- assess the current organizational design and resource requirements
Processes under the Supply Chain responsibility:
- sales and operations planning
- inventory management
- transactional procurement
- master production planning and detailed scheduling
- transport planning
- customer service and order intake
- material handling
Requirements:
- university background, i.e. M. Sc./Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain
- experienced in managing an ERP implementation
- preferably big plant & multi-plant supply chain experience
- multinational and multicultural experience
- people management
- knowledge of integrated supply chain from” order taking over planning to delivery”
- knowledge of all levels of planning from S&OP, MPS, Detailed Scheduling
- capability of designing new supply chain processes and building the capabilities and responsibilities around it
- lean expertise
- planning expertise in similar, multisite environment
- APICS certification
- knowledge of VMI and consignment techniques
- language Skills: Proficiency in Polish, English
Nice to have:
- german will be an would be an advantage
- Heavy Industry Logistics & Supply Chain experience would be an advantage
