Role description:
As the Wireline Account Manager, you are responsible to plan, organize, direct, control, and provide the leadership to achieve Company short-range and long-range business development objectives in the Wireline Business Unit for Central & Western Europe.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and action assignments for the Wireline Business Unit.
- Analyze and define the market for Central & Western Europe to determine product growth within those functional areas.
- Provide monthly reports & quarterly forecasts covering existing, & projected new- business revenues. Plus investment requirements by Company to service customer needs.
- Monitor and report monthly on contacts, budgets, & rig activity by client and per country.
- Provide market intelligence for competitor market share, direction, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to exploit them.
- Confer with key customers regarding equipment/product/service needs and advise customers on Company services.
- Maintain personal contact with key customers and documented with Client Visit Review forms.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding service, product, or personnel.
- Conduct weekly sales meetings with direct reports, and document action plans with closure and follow up.
- Integrate Wireline opportunities with Pumping / Frac, Completions, Seismic, and Drilling by liaising with the product line Managers.
- Increase revenue for Geosciences products for all clients.
- Improve revenue stream by reducing DSO.
- Develop pricing strategies by functional Area / Country.
- Increase market to include new client base.
- Promote key/value added services ( Specialty Services) to all clients for increased utilization and revenue stream.
- Seek inter-company revenue opportunities outside of Continental Europe region.
- Organize marketing opportunities to promote Company Wireline products, services and
- Geosciences abilities.
- Secure long term contracts and establish stable revenue stream.
- Responsible for timely prequalification, tenders, and bids in all of Central & Western Europe.
Requirements:
- Must have completed Post Secondary education in a Geology, Geophysics, or Engineering Degree.
- 2nd Degree in Marketing / Business Management as a plus
- 5+ years sales experience, preferably in a management role
- Extensive knowledge of oilfield services, Wireline equipment, and Geosciences Answer Products
- Competitor product knowledge and SWOT analysis of them.
- Bilingual or must be willing to learn additional languages.
- Excellent management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills
- Team player, and a constructive attitude.
- Must be willing to re-locate within Europe
- Valid passport
- JDE knowledge is considered an asset
