As Big Data consultant – depending on seniority at Senior Consultant or Managing Consultant level – you will be part of our European Big Data & Analytics consulting team where you will take responsibility for providing advisory and implementation expertise to our clients including: use case and business case development for Big Data solutions; proof of concept execution to prove the value of Big Data use cases; analysis, solution outline and design of a Big Data architectures; as well as supporting business development activities.
You’ll likely have prior experience as business or technology consultant with a leading consultancy, system integrator or technology company and you’ll be used to working with client business functions on various levels.
You’ll have worked in a data warehouse environment and be knowledgeable of existing and emerging approaches to information management and analytics. You’ll have knowledge of the technology landscape and proven experience in modern data & analytics technologies, in particular with Hadoop Ecosystem technologies. At the same time you will have a good understanding of business challenges in the industries you have worked in and you are able to formulate value propositions to a non-technical audience.
Your key skills include:
• Experience with Big Data and Business Analytics use cases in one or more dedicated industries.
• Proven experience with Big Data technologies, e.g. Apache Hadoop, NoSQL, Cloud Data Management
• Knowledge of the Big Data vendor and technology landscape, in particular good knowledge of Apache Hadoop distributions such as BigInsights, Hortonworks, MapR, Cloudera
• Strong communication skills and business acumen, including a feeling for data visualization and experience in presenting complex information to business stakeholders in a compelling way

All candidates must be fluent in English as well as the local language of the country to which they have applied and are expected to have a bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field such as computer science or information systems.

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in having Project experience in a data warehouse environment and knowledge of existing and emerging data integration approaches
- At least 3 years experience in Consulting or analyst role
- At least 2 years experience in having Project experience using emerging Big Data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, NoSQL or Cloud Data Management technologies
- At least 2 years experience in Traditional Data Warehousing and BI
- English: Fluent
