1.Problem solving 2. Pro-active – being able to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution / delivery is vital. 3. Fluent written and spoken English is a must. 4.Good understanding of .Net technologies 5. A bachelor’s degree. 6. demonstrate strong design and development skills in C#.Net or Java/C++ and have a solid background of object and component oriented design techniques.
Desirable:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Maths, Physics or similar would be ideal.
- Front Office experience in Fixed Income and/or Derivative products.
- Credit Derivatives working knowledge would be particularly desirable.
- Trader Front End / P&L experience.
- Previous agile / scrum experience.
- previous experience in developing robust multi-tier applications.
Investment Banking Credit Risk IT globally supports the various derivative trading groups including Interest Rate Products, Equity Derivatives, Credit Trading, Longevity Finance, Emerging Markets and Fund Linked Products. The IT support provided covers from trade discovery and risk management, through trade capture to settlement and life-cycle management. In addition to this Fixed Income IT provide current valuations, risk and detailed information to the reporting functions of Product Control, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Financial Control, Collateral, Client Statements, Treasury, etc. for detailed reporting of positions.
Key activities include:
- Generation of risk scenarios
- Problem solving and third line support
- Support tools for traders including pricing, discovery, analytics and new valuation methodologies
- Tools and infrastructure to manage portfolio risk
