Key responsibilities
- Collect required documentation for the review of the Bank’s subcustodians and other documents required for the monitoring of subcustodians (e.g. due diligence questionnaires, annual certificates, audit report, annual report, authorised signatures, annual MPFA confirmation, BCP plans, standing instructions, account lists, contact details, renewed insurance policies, etc...).
- Ensure review and ongoing maintenance of the documents/information described above and related matrices. Prepare Subcustodian Profiles, and related Executive Summary for the 17f5 compliance review. Obtain sign-off from Network Managers and/or Regional Manager and/or other relevant areas where required.
- Maintain up to date information on credit ratings (specific matrix) and eligibility of MPFA eligible subcustodians.
- Carry out annual AML reviews on selected subcustodians.
- Coordinate the production and sign-off of subcustodian annual operational assessment with Network Managers and Operations in a planned manner. Ensure timely responses to industry surveys.
- Perform punctual consistency and quality checks as directed by the Regional Manager.
- Being comfortable with Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word)
- Business Expertise : Moderate knowledge of the industry and of the regulatory environment and knowledge of basic financial principles preferred
- Personal organization: is able to handle numerous and various tasks
- Prioritisation skills: This function is challenging in its planning and in managing conflicting priorities. There is a high concentration of tasks over specific periods; hence priority management and planning are very important to success.
