Your job will involve:
- Work with our Client business users/SMEs/analysts to elicit business requirements/requests, analyze & translate them to functional & technical requirements that will be implemented by development team
- Proactively manage changes to requirements\requests to ensure all parties have a full understanding of the required changes and the system/process/project implications
- Ensure that requirements are understood by development team, check requirements completion during all phases of development and ensure requirements and specifications are kept up to date
- Review technical design documents and test cases
- Work with the development team to test the software and business processes developed to ensure they satisfy the requirements, and meet the design/specification
- Be responsible for the overall product quality from a business users' perspective.
- Build a good relationship with major project stakeholders and on-site/off-site teams
Mandatory:
- University degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Economics or Finance
- 8+ years of experience with IT projects and 4+ years of Business/Functional Analyst professional experience
- Investment banking knowledge (trading, risk, post-trade processing, P&L, reference data etc) and knowledge of financial products (like Equities, Fixed Income, Rates derivatives, Credit Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Money Markets etc)
- Good analysis skills comprising demonstrable experience of all aspects of analysis including creating of process documentation and diagrams, UML understanding
- Fluent English, with demonstrable skills in both verbal and written English
- Past experience acting as associate PO for Business, PO from SCRUM perspective
- Excellent communication skills demonstrating a proactive approach at all levels with Developers, QA and Client
- Knowledge in SQL
- Good knowledge of overall SDLC processes and best practices
- Be able to understand different levels of roles and stakeholders; stakeholder management
- Be able to understand technical discussions: C++, Java, Oracle, SQL etc
- Coordination capability, organized, self-driven
Nice to have:
- C++ and/or Java, C# development background
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence etc; Balsamic, Axure etc
- Capital Markets / Financial / Risk domain knowledge
- Business Driven Development (BDD) / Specification by Example
The project team will be closely working with one of the biggest international banks in the investment banking area related to the Fixed Income Trading space (Derivatives and Risk Systems) and be responsible for an in-house developed end-to-end IT solution for deal capture of derivatives and for the entire infrastructure handling external trade feeds, clearing, and downstream feeds for straight through processing in risk, trading general ledger, payment and workflow systems.
The team strives to enable the organization to satisfy business customers by an early and continuous delivery of valuable and high quality software that drives business performance.
The applications currently use the following infrastructure:
- Oracle and MSSQL relational databases
- IBM WebSphere MQ, Grid Server, UC4
- Analytics library, framework for calculations (pricing etc.)
- Quartet ActivePivot in-memory analytics/cube
- FpML data interfaces
- Interfaces to multiple upstream data sources (exchanges and clearing houses)
The majority of the existing codebase is written in C++, with Visual Studio as the main IDE.
