Your role

- importantly, manage projects
- review and design infrastructure, including databases and middleware solutions
- interact with application teams in understanding the business requirements and translate that into technical solutions
- interact with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering in seeking for the right technical solution based on the requirements
- drive quality implementation, manage growth and capacity, and achieve against performance metrics.
Your team
- You will be working in the Solution Strategy team in Wroclaw and you will regularly interact with other solution strategy team members as well as lines of business and engineering teams.
- Our team operates globally so you will have interaction with people in all regions of UBS (APAC, Europe, US)
Your experience and skills
You have:
- Knowledge and experience in network topology, Databases (Oracle & MS SQL; VCS & MSCS; DBaaS), Virtualization Technologies (ESX), and Citrix
- An in-depth functional and technical understanding of the broad IT infrastructure technology stack
- Ability to pilot the use of new technology or architectures, documenting and communicating blue-prints for wider adoption
- Presentation skills – especially with regard to summarizing complicated technical issues
- Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- An understanding of Financial Services and of Investment Banking
You Are:
- An experienced IT professional with proven experience of working with infrastructure technology and solution design in Enterprise IT
- Able to operate at multiple levels of our business
- Able to facilitate reviews and workshops to deliver infrastructure improvement
