Key Responsibilities
The role is designed for a skilled professional who would like to take over a challenging mix of responsibilities from development, operations specialist, support and coordination.
Some of the responsibilities: Automation of internal processes, developing support Chatbot, developing features to existing tools (Grails, JavaScript), providing support for developers daily and during events/presentations, having ownership of a particular tool (addressing bugfixes, enhancements, creating documentation).
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Teamworker, collaborative and communicative, (good English is a must)
- Values learning and challenge over easy-wins or showing-off
- Preferred good knowledge of Spring Boot, Groovy, JavaScript; we're interested in any background you have as long as you have a keen understanding of Object Oriented languages
- Ability to collaborate with developers of various backgrounds to get service enhancements in place
- Good knowledge of Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, SVN, Git; ability to work with a complex technical environment
- Knowledge of some developer tools is a plus (JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Teamcity, Artifactory, Sonar, etc.)
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
The important skill is to be self-driven and don't expect anyone to micro-manage your day. The Developer in User Engagement will be an owner of a service, having full decisiveness on developing features to the production environment.
It would be good if a candidate could present a Github repository, a presentation deck/video from a conference, an article they have written - any type of personal commitment. Of course, it is not mandatory.
The group of Developer Tools & Services is responsible for a wide variety of tooling that every developer in organization is using. Our tools are enabling the developers to do their work, imposing bank standards on software development process, and reporting data for process efficiency. The group works in a collaborative manner, which means that the knowledge and skill transfer is supported across all of its divisions.
User Engagement is a newly created function of Developer Tools & Services. There are currently 2 people, however we plan to double the team in the following months.
