The primary purpose of the Linux Administrator is to provide technical support on systems used as commodity service for multiple Atos customers. This support entails proactive management and troubleshooting in case of fault and ensuring that the service meets or exceeds the established Service Level Agreements and quality standards.
Possibility to learn different UNIX platforms like HPUX, AIX, Solaris in a multi-customer environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux ( Redhat, Debian , Suse)
- Administration & troubleshooting of operating systems
- Diagnosing, resolving and delivering root cause analysis for automatic alerts, issues and incidents
- Identifying & investigating repeated issues and work with Network and responsible support group
- Manage and resolve incident, problem and change tickets
- Good understanding of Networking (TCP/IP)
- Ability to analyze system logs, events and monitoring alerts
- Basic knowledge of Linux shell scripting
- Knowledge about Nagios or monitoring application is a plus
- Knowledge about Red Hat Satellite Server is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team
- High motivation to self-development
- Good interpersonal skills and customer handling skills
- Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
