Manufacturing Test and Quality Engineer

Job description
NES is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Test and Quality Engineer. Position will be based at Jabil Circuits in Kwidzyn Poland but report directly to the Operations Manager for NES. Engineering and Operations support teams are located in San Jose, California. The position requires good English/Polish speaking and writing skills, and potential travel to the US for startup training.
The Manufacturing Test and Quality Engineer responsibilities include:
- Setup, maintenance, and documentation of the manufacturing test lines associated with the various NES products
- Working closely with our contract manufacturing engineering resources in Poland
- Manufacturing quality goals, working closely with product designers and manufacturing test development teams in the USA to ensure the product and test lines are suitable and of sufficient quality for high volume production
- Development and documentation of test plans and test tools for introduction of new products (NPI) into manufacturing
- Active participation in the Engineering reviews for DFT of the product
- Support NPI team including installation and commissioning of test equipment, including PCs and databases with new test software and configuration files
- Supervise Repeatability&Reliability activities and be responsible for sign off process to release equipment and line for volume manufacture
- Monitor equipment performance, test yields and provide feedback to development teams for improvements
- Develop preventative maintenance programs for test fixtures with contract manufacturer and ensure they are followed
- Enable the CM with developing appropriate factory training as needed along with factory trainers
- Coordinate implementation of new technologies/components, tools, & fixtures
- Improving factory test methods & instructions
- Maximizing efficiencies with factory tooling design & implementation
- Track and report on factory yields, work gaps between actual and plan
- Root cause and develop corrective action plans of manufacturing test issues
- Supervision of factory technicians
- Ability and willing to work extended and night/weekend hours as needed to maintain schedule, including participating in live meetings with US-based teams during off hours
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, with ability to communicate clearly with factory managers and engineering personnel
- Experience on a high volume manufacturing line, dealing with complex manufacturing test systems (Hardware, Software & Mechanical)
- National Instruments MIO and TestStand Training
- Familiar with ICT/FCT PCBA test methodologies
- Able to work independently and proactively with minimal on-site supervision
- Basic understanding of Hardware SpecificationsAbility to manipulate test data and calculate yields and throughput
- Presenting Technical Information to engineering team and managers
- Working knowledge and usability of Microsoft Office, Visio, Access, Microsoft Project
Experience Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience working in the field of electronics test and electronics manufacturing test systems
- Verifiable High School and University diploma
