Platform Integration & Technical Support Engineer - Technical Support Team

Responsibilities:
- Provides direct technical Level 2 support to technology users and platform integrators within Lionbridge. Escalation point from the Help Desk.
- Works closely with development to make our software more intuitive and easier to support.
- Updates and creates online knowledgebase articles to reduce support requests.
- Creates temporary “work-around” for immediate customer issues where appropriate
- Provides assistance, problem resolution, and training on tools and products to other technical support personnel
- Involvement in company work groups who plan the direction of Customer Support work processes and procedures.
- Works with Development to diagnose and debug issues in production.
- Automates by creating tools/applications and processes to initiate change and drive the company towards faster more efficient end to end workflows.
- Conduits of information to OPS on new Language Technology functionality/releases
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and troubling shooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to deal calmly, positively, and professionally in tense or elevated situations with upset or frustrated customers.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, obtain results, and provide solutions for a broad range of technical problems.
- Shows ability to dig into technical issues to identify route cause and derive impact
- Ability to identify issues reported when information is not clearly reported
- Responsible to manage time effectively and work efficiently, both with and without direct supervision.
- Complete overall knowledge of company applications, specific in depth knowledge on specific products.
- Ability to understand the global corporate picture.
- Focus towards and understanding of customer (internal and external) needs.
- Mentor/Teacher others.
- Excellent knowledge of how TW/TMS is used by OPS when working with LIOX Customer
Technical Requirements:
- Excellent Knowledge with Lionbridge’s TMS and TW products
- Coding skills (VBA/C#/etc) - Track record of automation delivery
- Ability to create and deliver training materials
- Expert knowledge of Excel and its integrations with data sources
- Familiarity with SharePoint
- Familiarity with Agile/TFS
- Competency in at least one scripting language (eg Python)
- Ability to understand SQL queries and create simple queries
- Familiarity with Freeway/CTE a bonus
