The role is a core part of the team and focuses on development and maintenance of the infrastructure orchestration platform as a globally available production solution.
The role is for a Senior/Lead Developer and Solutions Architect who is responsible for developing and maintaining the custom components and eco-system required by the orchestration platform. Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and architect the solution and build the solution in collaboration with the team of developers. This presents a unique opportunity to develop back-end components of an already established global system with broad impact in Bank. This is not your typical GUI application; this is a complex high availability system for an experienced senior Java developer.
- Work with other engineers, developers and architects to engineer the orchestration platform and related systems.
- Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and architect the solution and build the solution in collaboration with the team of developers
- Work with business analysts to help define methods for connecting other infrastructure systems to the orchestrator.
- Understand and apply knowledge of general systems management solutions as defined by the ITIL framework.
- Work with other engineering teams across the infrastructure division to integrate their systems in to the orchestration platform.
- Work to project schedules and provide accurate and timely feedback for any assigned tasks.
- Produce high quality documentation related to solution design, operations, governance and end-users.
- Have a broad understanding of security models including PKI and roles / rules based authentication and be able to apply this knowledge to securing orchestrated processes.
This is a senior development role and as such the candidate may be required to work without direct supervision while still adhering to agreed upon project specifications and timelines.
- Hands on Java Engineer to architect, design and implement platform.
- Demonstrate expertise in web services development (SOAP, REST), utilizing current industry standard tools and framework; Database modelling and development (Oracle preferred). Design and develop web service abstraction layers for the orchestrator and other infrastructure systems.
- Experience leading other developers and guiding technical projects
- Create automated test plans and write tests
- Own and understand the front-to-back software and hardware technology profile of the platform and understand related systems and data flows firm wide.
- Ability to troubleshoot, performance tune and understand java memory utilization in code produced and participate in functional and design meetings and reviews
- Collaborate with business analysts and back-end developers to define functional requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Rapidly design, prototype and iterate on creative concepts to meet the user requirements
- Work with technology partners and vendors as required
- Maintain a delivery-orientated approach to delivering content
- Provide Technical leadership and strategic direction to team.
- Partnering with CoE’s and other regional teams to enhance the team’s operational support model and processes for continued scalability to the business
- Deal quickly with changing priorities (e.g. new regulatory requirements).
- Experience of infrastructure products and concepts
- Experience of development in a large corporate environment
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English language
- An exposure to ServiceNow is a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle Business Process Manager (BPM) is a huge plus

This role is with the CTO Services Engineering group which is Client's infrastructure engineering organization. We are responsible for lifecycle management and engineering of all current and future infrastructure products, platforms and services. We also oversee technology programs maximizing both fulfillment of business requirements and value of the product portfolio. CTO ES leads and prioritizes engineering resources and projects to enable development of new services and products on time and within budget. We support all the other business lines of the bank like Investment banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management etc.
The Client's Center of Excellence in Poland for Enterprise Services team is significantly strengthening its presence by rapidly increasing its existing team with various new IT Infrastructure Engineering roles.
Orchestration and automation of our infrastructure has been identified as a key deliverable in reducing our total cost of ownership. Additional benefits include improving quality and time to market of other dependent solutions.
