- Developing in Java (collections, NIO, concurrency)

Requirements:
- Strong Knowledge of Java Language (5+ years)
- Strong Knowledge of Java Multithreading
- Knowledge of Spring framework
- Excellent understanding of the data structures and algorithms
- FIX protocol
- Unix practical knowledge and shell scripting
- Memory management
Useful skills:
- Knowledge of .NET will be advantage
- SQL (preferably MS SQL)

We are looking for a strong hands-on candidate to join the European development team. Allocation and booking solution is using high performance middle-tier technology developed in-house. It is written in Java and highly optimized for performance and high availability.
The team is responsible for the booking solution which processes high volumes of cash equities trades in real-time, providing users control over automated booking process. The development team is an integral part of a high energy front-office environment. As a result, the successful candidate will need to be highly committed, and be able to build very close working relationships with both the business and support teams. They will have a strong focus on ownership and commitment to completing deliverables in a timely way. Experience of agile programming technologies will be an advantage.
The candidate will have a consistent track record of demonstrating initiative, collaboration, and strong teamwork skills. He/she will think out of the box and adds value to discussions during Scrum lifecycle. Furthermore, he/she will take direction and have a strong focus on delivery. Scope of responsibilities will include working in a team taking direction from others for assigned tasks and on some occasions leading individual tasks as part of a larger project.
