The successful candidate will work on developing HTML / javascript components and associated back end services of the Neo application, assist in analysis and estimation of new requirements, and integrate services for pricing and execution delivered by server-side components. Collaboration will be required with a design/user experience group providing visual assets for components to ensure a consistent user experience is maintained. Co-ordination will also be required with onshore and offshore web developers to ensure code deliveries adhere to coding guidelines and to non-functional benchmarks.
Expertise in modern web technology, including:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
Open-source libraries, tools and technologies, especially:
- d3.js
- lodash.js or underscore.js
- node.js
- grunt / bower / npm
Knowledge, understanding and experience of:
- REST APIs
- Distributed version control systems
- Automation technologies for testing and other purposes
- Agile/lean development processes
It would be beneficial for you to have:
- Knowledge of investment banking and the foreign exchange business
- Personal code visible in your www.github.com profile
- Technical writing or talks published on a blog or elsewhere on the internet
- Experience with other programming languages such as Java, Ruby, ActionScript, Python, Perl, etc.
- Experience collaborating with User Experience designers
- Experience with real-time data-streaming and messaging systems
- Experience with cloud technologies
The platform is the bank's strategic tool aimed at internal/external users for sales and trading of FX Options and Cash products. The platform is used by internal users as well as external e-com clients for trading of FX Vanilla & Exotic Options, FX Cash, Money Market, Interest Rate, Base Metal, Non-Deliverables and Precious Metal Products. Project is the strategic platform for the FX business and will form the single order and trade execution and reporting platform.
The role covers pricing, execution and post trade reporting of the following product types:
- FX Spot, Forwards, Swaps
- FX Vanilla and Exotic Options
