As a member of the technical team you will be responsible for research in speech synthesis, the strategic planning and project management for a variety of technical initiatives, providing (business) analysis using mathematical modeling tools to answer important questions, utilizing code (C/C++, Perl or Java) and existing tools for modeling or prototyping, effective communication with senior management as well as with colleagues from computer science and business backgrounds.
Basic Qualifications
- Graduate degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or mathematics and 5+ years of related work experience, or a PhD and 3+ years of related work experience
- Ability to code in C/C++/Java and scripting languages
- Ability to develop system prototypes
- Software development experience, good understanding of software development process
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD highly desired
- Experience with statistical parametric speech synthesis (HMM) and speech signal processing.
- Exposure to related fields such as (computational) linguistics, phonetics, machine learning, etc.
- Project management experience desired for working on cross-functional projects
- Experience working effectively with software engineering teams
- A track record of delivering software on time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
