The Treasury IT department is responsible globally for all Treasury functions; funding forecasting & planning, Regulatory Liquidity reporting, MI and Money Markets Trading. Treasury IT Develop, implement and support numerous IT systems across the above business functions within the Finance IT Division across both Investment Banking and Private Banking.
Our team is responsible for handling the change-the-bank and run-the-bank IT book of work in partnership with the Global Treasury and Liquidity Management Reporting (LMR) business functions and Finance Change groups that support their strategic transformation projects.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance professional with around 8-years of experience in software quality engineering, while working in a DevOps environment.
The team: Global Treasury IT: about 220 people in Switzerland, Poland, India, US, UK and Singapore. Structured in four main Value Streams. Global QA organization supports all Value Streams and locations with distributed QA SMEs in each of them. Currently QA organization has 12 people with couple of opened roles. In Wroclaw we currently plan to have 2 QAs including the open position. The Global QA Head is located in Zurich.
The role will cover aspects of the following (traditional) disciplines: Software Quality Manager.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are required.
The Test/Quality Manager plans, controls and coordinates the entire test process within an area of responsibility. This includes defining the test strategy in line with the CS Test Standards, ensures its implementation and evaluates the test results in order to give a recommendation to the project manager who decides on further steps.
Address occurring problems, issues, possible risks or action items to the Project Manager/Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer for defining follow-up activities.
The role organizes the supports and reports on quality related issues and test efforts, as the single point of contact for the project and internal clients.
The Quality Manager conducts "Lessons Learned" meetings, gathers "Best Practice" examples and contributes to the test process improvement.
Since the project is moving from an Oracle to Big Data, at least a good understanding of the following technologies is required: Unix, Informatica, Hadoop, Oracle.
- the implementation of the defined and approved test strategy
- that all test activities are compliant with the CS Test Standard and Policies
- the planning, allocating and monitoring all test efforts
- the testability of the requirements
- that all Quality Gate entry and exit criteria for a test phase are met, for example:
a. ensuring traceability from test cases to requirements and from deviation records to test cases
b. the readiness of test case's to be used in the upcoming testing phase
- the timely delivery of all test deliverables as defined in the test plan and test schedule and for ensuring their quality as defined in the test plan
- early escalation to project- and program managers happens, in line with the escalation path
- that all defects are recorded and retested and that not closed defects are addressed (e.g. by deferral to a later release)
- that proper communication according to the stakeholder involvement plan
- Ability to define a test design strategy, test automation strategy or an execution approach for various test types at different test levels across the whole solution delivery lifecycle
- Ability to write and review the work products of the test process (e.g. Test Plan), which are compliant with pre-defined solution delivery methods
- Experience in monitoring and controlling various test activities (e.g. timely delivery, quality control, test coverage, performance monitoring, etc.).
- Experience reporting to senior stakeholders of test status and test results
- Experience with stakeholder management in area of testing (incl. identification of key-stakeholders, active collaboration with these coordination of tasks, manage dependencies, escalation of issues, etc.)
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary Agile team to support implementation and execution of the test strategy
- Experience in the overall defect management process
- Working knowledge of test automation
- An understanding of Oracle, Unix, Informatica, Big Data tools (e.g. Hadoop).
- An understanding of test automation is not required but helpful for the profile.
