Application Engineer (French Speaker)

Position purpose
We are currently looking for an Application support Engineer (French speaker) to join a team providing L2/L3 support within the Technical Application Management Tower.
Main accountabilities
- Administration of customer’s applications
- Performing changes and tasks according to standardized as well as non-standard operating procedures
- Handling incidents and major incidents according to agreed SLAs
- Planning & applying patches and system upgrades
- Troubleshooting
Requirements
Essential are:
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux OS family operating systems
- Good knowledge of Middleware technologies (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere)
- Hands-on experience with application server installation, configuration and administration, preferably on Unix/Linux platforms
- Good verbal & written French + English
Nice to have:
- Experience with scripting
- Knowledge of a scheduling tool (Control-M, Visual TOM, Dollar Universe, etc)
- SQL knowledge
An asset would be:
- ITIL awareness
- Readiness for on-call duties
