Essential functions
- Candidate must have possessing expertise in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule on a global level in accordance with US
- and EU Customs laws and WCO rules and regulations.
- Having a clear understanding of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and the Commerce Control List as well as local country export control laws.
- Working knowledge of global Free Trade Agreements and how to determine eligibility.
- Determine Harmonized Tariff Codes, US ECCN, & COO for Rockwell Automation products and third party capital equipment.
- Reading and interpreting Bills of Material, engineering drawings and other technical data.
- Ensuring that proper documentation and Certificates of Origin are collected and filed per company procedures.
- Monitoring inbound and outbound shipments for missing classification data.
- Releasing orders that are on hold.
Qualifications
- At least two to five years of proven International Export/Import Compliance experience.
- This would include classification of products, reviewing and issuing Certificates of Origin, working directly with foreign Customs agencies, Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders
- Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in and of the following areas: Business Management, International Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal command of the English language
- Organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of Office 365, Outlook, & SAP is preferred
- Travel requirements: less than 10%
