- Maintaining and providing guidance about the company’s corporate records retention guidelines and global strategy for the offsite storage of records
- Partnering with business functions about the decommissioning of various programs and destruction/purging of records to ensure that appropriate records retention guidelines are satisfied
- Working with the Disputes Team on e-discovery and records retention obligations
- Working with the Chief Privacy Officer to manage the key requirements of the global privacy program, with the support from your colleagues and, where needed, local outside legal counsel, including:
- Keeping the global inventory of privacy related activities and systems up to date
- Keeping track of evolving privacy and data protection laws around the globe; and assisting with the localization of our privacy governance program into a number of countries outside the EU/EEA
- Assisting with privacy risk reviews and data protection impact assessments, and the implementation of privacy risk control and management measures
- Assisting with the implementation of the vendor selection, audit and management policies and procedures from the privacy compliance point of view
- Assisting with the data breach incidents and the implementation of the data breach handling procedure
- Assisting with the process of responding to data subject rights requests and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our response program
Qualifications
- Experience with Records Retention and/or Privacy technology solutions and tools is preferred.
- Experience of Implementing and developing Privacy Controls, Policies, Standards and Procedures with Data Protection Programmed, policies and procedures, Audits.
- Experience managing and/or collaborating with outside legal counsel or vendors
- Knowledge and experience of implementing controls in line with the Data Protection
- Experience in global records management in a corporate environment
- Ability to think strategically and globally about the records management and privacy governance program
- Capacity to work independently and display initiative on assigned tasks, while also collaborating with colleagues in different functions and businesses around the globe;
- Knowledge of other languages besides English, particularly western European languages
