Our Client is a producer of secondary zinc and zinc die casting alloys. The company in Poland is a part of the leading German automotive supplier.
Currently we are looking for the best candidate for the position of:
Production Manager
Location: opolskie
Job description
The person on this position will be responsible for the production site and its processes, as well as for leading and developing the staff.
Reporting to: General Manager
Place of work: South region of Poland
Key responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the production location and manufacturing activities
- Accountability for production planning and execution, cost control, quantitative and qualitative targets
- Planning and supervising production processes and adaptations
- Adhering to quality, time and costs KPI, capital commitment and increase in productivity
- Constant improvement of the production (Lean management/ Kaizen, etc) and systems
- Implementing required ‘lean structures and processes’ (Six Sigma, Customer Value First/ Growth)
- Pointing out rationalization needs
- Guaranteeing customer satisfaction by optimizing delivery processes, monitoring deadlines and production quality
- Facility management of the production location incl. necessary structural changes, renovations etc.
- Monitoring HSE management at the production location
- Safeguarding and continuous optimization of the logistics processes in terms of output required
- Adhering to the local and international legislation, also internal regulations
- Regular reporting to management according to defined guidelines
- Implementing, further developing and securing quality of management methods
- Leadership (according to KPIs), further development and performance assessment of the heads of departments at the plant and their teams
- Recruitment of new employees in order to continue production site development, according to the management expectations
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders, employees’ representatives, local authorities, the government and others
Requirements
- At least Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with a specialization in mechanical engineering or materials science with a focus on non-ferrous metals
- Additional business trainings desirable
- Experience in automotive branch (production experience in the chipping industry, e.g. brass processing, multi-spindle machines desirable)
- Several years of experience in lean and process management
- Experience with modern management methods + certification processes (ISO IATF 16949, DIN EN ISO 14001, 50001)
- Strategic thinking with “hands on” mentality
- Strong people and project management skills
- Leadership and high team orientation
- Very good and convincing communication skills
- Dynamic and result oriented
- Strong personality with self-confidence and solution orientation
- Fluent knowledge of English or German
