Department Overview
Recently established Demand Planning Department is a part of Supply Chain structures. Responsible for forecasting and planning demand of various product families within the EMEA region but also globally. Forecasts are used as basis for material supply planning as well as capacity planning. Currently expanding structures to roll over existing processes in a region.
Job Description
- Plan communication portfolio in a region. The individual will prepare and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for this product technology, partner with Business/Go-To-Market and Product management to develop a consensus product and material forecast,
- Define a weekly radio build plan for the factory and work closely with the factory control tower and Supply Planning to best utilize capacity under existing material situations,
- Supervise inventory position in terms of cycle counts, excess and obsolence management, in cooperation with inventory controller and finance preparing provisions and scrap recommendations,
- Coordinate new product introductions and cancellations to reduce excess/obsolete piece parts while minimizing customer impact,
- Quarterly revise portfolio segmentation, review appropriate safety stock levels and MOQ levels.
- Achieve forecast accuracy and volatility goals, and support overall revenue, inventory and delivery targets
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain/demand planning
- First class communication in English and presentation skills
- Candidate must have a solid understanding of basic Supply Chain principles.
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent, Finance.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is required (creating and presenting quantitative, summarized data via spreadsheets, pivot tables and graphs).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Positive and proactive attitude solid time management skills, ability to work independently without continuous supervision
- Prior scheduling, planning or inventory control experience working in a distribution and/or manufacturing operation is a definite plus.
- Experience with Oracle and/or Demantra planning module, or other MRP systems knowledge is also a plus.
