Our Client is a producer of secondary zinc and zinc die casting alloys. The company in Poland has been specializing in processing zinc waste. The applied modern technologies and innovative solutions enable recovery of zinc from a wide range of scrap materials. The final product is a high quality secondary zinc, having applications in high pressure die-casting, e.g. in the most demanding automotive industry.
The company is a part of the leading German automotive supplier.
Currently we are looking for the best candidate for the position of:

Job description
The person on this position will be responsible for the management, control and further development of the company in the fields of: process technology, production & logistics, quality, maintenance, purchasing, accounting and human resources.
Key responsibilities:
- Technical and operational management of the location with about 50 members of staff (expansion planned)
- Planning, execution of the annual corporate objectives; adherence to the targets, P&L and budget guidelines
- Safeguarding delivery capacity, taking defined growth, quality and profitability goals into consideration
- Continuous optimization of the operations in terms of quality, deadlines and profitability
- Defining and implementation of operational KPI
- Increasing productivity and security of all the technical processes, taking quality and business aspects into account (operational excellence and lean management)
- Planning and realization of investments, including plant’s extension
- Definition, control and implementation of projects
- Supervision of guidelines implementation in regards to workplace safety, fire, environmental and health protection
- Representation of the company internally and externally
- Motivation, development and control of staff members, according to the principles of effective management
- Monthly reports with operational key figures and measures to the headquarter
- Optimization of structures, processes and systems in the areas of purchasing, accounting and HR, if needed
Requirements
- At least Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably with a specialization in mechanical engineering or materials science (with a focus on non-ferrous metals - desirable)
- Business education and trainings desirable
- Sound professional experience in management, ideally in an automotive environment; Ideally knowledge about zinc processing
- Experience in the plant's extension, location planning and shifting
- Excellent and practical knowledge of P&L management, business key performance indicators as well as of modern principles of production (lean production) and quality management
- Experience with Tools (Lean, Value stream analysis and other modern tools); Experience with modern management methods, change and certification processes (IATF 16949, DIN EN ISO 14001 & 50001)
- Strong strategic acumen
- Experience in Change Management, Standardization and Optimization
- Very good technical and analytical understanding
- Experience in the leadership, motivation and further development of employees
- Fluent knowledge of English or German
- Knowledge of MS-Office and modern ERP-systems
