Primary Purpose of position is developing and implementing global external supplier and commodity strategies while driving long term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery. The person that we are looking for will be responsible for enhancing company’s purchasing function performance within selected commodity group. Candidate will be also responsible for operating within the Supply Chain Management / Purchasing Team across the full product life cycle ensuring supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.
In order to be successful on this position you need to have minimum 4 years of experience in direct purchasing/supply chain management preferably in marine / automotive / power & energy / aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have experience within selected commodity groups (Iron Castings, Bronze Propellers, Steel Forgings, Raw Materials or Electrical Motors, Couplings, Seals), proven track record of sourcing (including LCC sourcing) and degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant degree (additional MBA is preferred). Fluency in English both written and spoken is a must. Experience in Baan will be an asset.
