Head of Delivery Engineering

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the Customer Delivery  Software Engineering functions in developing
• Focuses on building and optimizing software architecture to achieve strategic business goals while working in a Agile environment
• In charge of the management and execution of  software project plans and delivery commitments
• Establishes policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services
• Makes research on ways of improvement in Customer Delivery
• Indicates direction of competence development in Software Engineering
• Nurtures partnerships with Product and Project Management, Platform Software Engineering teams and Quality Assurance to maintain a unified Customer Delivery Team
• Promotes, documents, and implements systems infrastructure best practices and building tools that allow the department to develop and deploy dependable software
• Develops and implements business and/or IT vision, sets direction based on alignment to business and overall technology standards
• Provides detailed reporting to key stakeholders

Requirements

• Higher education, preferred from the IT area
• Proven experience software engineering department, preferably as leader
• Very good command of English language in speech and writing
• Proven experience delivering highly quality, available and scalable products
• Experience managing cross-functional teams as well as demonstrating knowledge and interest in new and emerging technologies and in software development tools
• Educate and provide employees with tools for implementing the process in their own work, teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies
• Outstanding technological skills and knowledgeable and experienced in devops methodologies (CI/CD, deploy automation workflows and tools)
• Customer oriented, highly organized, highly analytical and a creative and strategic thinker, able to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. CRM)
